The original purpose for my making this website was to share what we can learn about and from the internet. On July 12, 1993, when I first got a basic account with O&E Online and got on the internet, there was nothing to help all us "newbies" out. We would sit for hours in the local chat laughing with each other about mistakes we had made. We also talked about what we had learned from our trial and errors. I miss that comraderie now. From those shared experiences we learned about this.

Back then as I remember I was using an IBM computer. The digital watch you're wearing has more memory
than it did. It had no hard drive, just two 5 1/4" floppy drives. Drive "A" held DOS (disc operating system), there was no GUI (graphical user interface) aka Windows,
Drive "B" held the program. You had to know what to type at the command prompt ( B:_ ) to use/run the program
The heavy black and white monitor sat on top of the biege box.
Talk about basic.

Pull off your boots and sit back a bit and relax. Take a little time for yourself and let this ol' geezer show you around. I've been out here long enough that some of the net has rubbed off on me.

To get started click on my internet basics and tour the internet pages. They'll show you what you need to know to get started and feel comfortable out here.

When you come back, take a look at my personal pages below. They will further enlighten and also entertain you.
I'll be right back. I'm goin' out to the kitchen to get us a hot toddy.

A word of warning. While you're checking out my personal pages below whatever you do don't touch that red button.
The ol' timers out here will tell you I ain't got much of a sense of humor.

When you check out my pages you'll have a chance to learn a little about YEP and lenr. This link will also take you to my brand new guestbook.

And don't forget to drop a nickel in YEP's jukebox to hear some fine music out here.

I've just put another jukebox on here that is very different.

If you're feeling a little nerdy and want to check out how fast your surfin' the net click here.

My latest experiment is a Fun and Games area. It'll probably keep you busy for a lil bit. yep !

You can also catch some of the fun things I mess with live at the seniors club I belong to.

lenr had also added a new, funny? page. yep's reading room it's now open for business.

On a more serious note. . .
take a look here if you need a leg up making your webpage.

don't touch that red button

I'm back. Here's your toddy.

Did you get a chance to find out a little about me ? I hope you listened to some of that great hillbilly music. Excuuusse meee, the politically correct call it Country nowadays. No slight intended!

I've grown nostaligc in my doddering years. Perhaps goodtimes will bring back some memories for you too.

If you still have a second I'd appreciate it if you would sign YEP's guestbook. You'll find it up above there under 'About YEP & lenr'. It's the only way I'll know that you've been here and I'll be able to say howdy to you.

I'm a person who tries. As a matter of fact a lot of people say I'm very trying!
The latest thing I'm trying here is making a chatroom. I hope you've enjoyed your stay here !

Please come back and visit again. I'm always adding or changing stuff to the pile at YEP.

Oh, by the way, there's a contest here on YEP.
Did you find and enter it?
The winner gets to have lenr make a webpage about them for all the world to see!
yep

If you have any questions about all this drop me an email and I'll do my best to get you an answer.

lenr is a member of the Internet Society.
A group that helped set it all up.

For those who don't read English there is a Russian version of this page.
