If you want to have your own webpage but aren't sure how to do it, you're on the right page. Help could be just an e-mail away.
I will help anyone learn the basics of making their own page and how to upload the files so that their page is accessable by anyone on the internet. If you want to make your basic page a little fancier I will try and help with that too. If you've made your page and something doesn't work right I will try to show you what may be wrong and what to do to correct the problem.
I do not claim to be an expert or know everything about all this, after all I'm also teaching myself. I do know enough to have made a website, which you can check out by clicking here. YEP!

To help you get the bug I'll even upload your page and all it's files to my website so you and others can see it. I'll also try to answer any questions you may have.
You will need a good HTML Editor program to write your files.
I personally use HTML Writer. It is a little primitive by today's standards but it helped me learn how to write html. You can get a copy by clicking here. To use it you will have to learn how and why html works with today's browsers. A good way to do this is to use your browser to "view" another pages' "document source" when that page has something on it you would like to have on your page. If you want to find an easier point and drop editor you can use an internet search engine to find "html editors". Another good source of free html editor info is www faq (frequently asked questions) on html editors. Mag's BIG list tries to list all of the known html editors and convertors. All of this info may tend to overwhelm you, but remember I used HTML Writer to make all of the pages at "YEP". WYSIWYG and browser built in editors are much easier to learn, but they will limit what you can do with your page in the future. If you feel a need to spend $$$ you can buy many different html editors at any software store. I personally own 'Corel Web.Graphics.Suite' ($225.00). It's a great program that I have taken the online tutorial for. I've never published a web page with it, but I use some of it as a helper program for graphics. I recently bought 'Microsoft Front Page' ($150.00) and haven't started to try and figure it out yet.
You will need a FTP software program to upload your files to your server.
Which one you choose may depend on your operating system. To get a copy of the Windows FTP software I use, by clicking here. You will need to download the freeware software, uncompress the "ws_ftple.zip" file and run it's install/setup.
By the way, the cost of this help service is extremely right . . . It'll only cost you a thank you. return to YEP.
